I appreciated this post a lot—I think understanding what causes people to become interested in (and actively working on) Effective Altruism is important.
We don’t want to be flooded with personal anecdote posts, but I think it’s reasonable to have one if it’s in a broader context. I expect when you’re done with your current set of posts they’ll be packaged into a sequence, and having some personal background will be add some useful context.
