do you regard this as true by definition? Are you making an argument along the lines of all “all men are mortal, Socrates is a man, therefore Socrates is mortal” where “man” necessarily includes “mortal”?
I am using words like ethics, morals, etc in a loose way, so I am allowing the possibility that one can come up with a theory of ethics which is not arbitrary.
