I was unable to find a thesis or understand the analogy. I don’t connect with or believe the hotel situation, and I can’t tell what the heck real thing is supposed to be analogous to it.
I do, in fact, design and write both large- and small-scale computer programs and systems, so presumably it’s something I’ve experienced. But the hotel analogy is so far from real that I can’t tell WHAT part of programming is being described.
This is not about programming, but some emotional journey you feel when you are programming. It is not describing computer programming, but the emotions someone might feel.
I tried to explain what the emotional journey feels like to someone who does not do computer programming.
It is not analogous with any real world scenario. This is fiction like The Castle by Franz Kafka.
I’m not sure what the consensus is on how to vote on these posts, but I’m sad that this post’s poor reception might be why its author deactivated their account.
