I’m not sure I agree with everything in this post. But, I think “fine distinctions are a key part of rationality and worth prioritizing”* is at least a hypothesis I take pretty seriously. And I know not everyone is on board with it (there are plenty of complaints about too much jargon), so having a fairly comprehensive writeup and discussion of it seems valuable.
