I think you have entirely missed the point. If there are Nazis at your door, sabotaging them is exactly what you are trying to do. There’s nothing irrational about that. Black Belt isn’t saying rationalists don’t lie, he’s saying they don’t lie to people they don’t want to harm.
The point of the Eliezer quote isn’t radically different either. If your friends think you’d lie to them “for their own good”, then they may disbelieve you when you need their trust the most. So again, don’t lie to your friends.
I think you have entirely missed the point. BBB is happy to sabotage his enemies by lying to them, but Eliezer isn’t. You only tell half the story of Eliezer’s quote: sure, he doesn’t want you to lie to your friends, but it is just as much a consequence of his argument that if your enemies think you’d lie to them for your own good, they may disbelieve you when you need their trust the most, so don’t lie to you enemies.
EDIT: After reading his comments, it seems Eliezer himself does not realize that this is a consequence of his arguments. It’s so frustrating when people do not realize how insightful they are being.
