A ton of people do Word macros and Excel spreadsheets without being officially ‘programmers’, though they pretty much are and may well benefit from either learning formal programming (to better understand the tools they’re using and the limits thereof or to switch to a more powerful tool); when we take into account all those people, coding looks like much less of a highly specialized skill.
