On the difficult question of whether Free Will exists, why would I listen to someone who has answered the much easier question of whether God exists, and got it wrong?
Whether gods in general exist is an untestable question, but whether God exists in the sense usually meant is far more amenable to research and historical data gathering.
Aristotle got acceleration wrong. People in Europe at one point had a humour based theory of medicine. And yet Newtonian physics works fairly well, and so does modern medicine.
I don’t understand what Theism has to do with what various stupid beliefs about God or the gods existed throughout history. People had stupid beliefs about medicine and physics also. Do we steelman things or do we kick stupid people as a hobby?

It’s not about the question whether Free Will exists but more about the kind of freedom that libertarians preach.
I am sorry, how can answers to untestable questions be “right” or “wrong.” Perhaps “not even wrong.”
