the problem of making humans and groups more rational hasn’t disappeared, and some people might want to pick up the challenge (and perhaps talk to people who were involved in it to rescue some of the conclusions and insights).
I’d think (and encourage) that anyone is welcome to pick up the challenge, regardless of the state of CFAR. More people working on the challenge seems like a great thing to have.
Yep, agreed. Especially if you can be clear about how your approach differs from CFAR’s.
Gentle reminder: I offered a method for creating Beisutsukai that I’m pretty darn sure would work. Anyone is welcome to pick it up and make it work. I’m almost certainly not going to; I’m busy doing something related but quite different. But I’d still love to see someone do this. And I’m pretty darn sure it’s never ever going to be CFAR — not unless it dies and something with a completely different soul inherits its name.

I’d like to upvote reading Val’s linked post, if someone’s wondering whether to bother reading it and likes my opinions on things.
Also agreed.
That sounds mostly true in general (unless an area is really saturated).
