just as annoying as my sensitivity to religious memes and my inability to say no to anyone.
Sounds like you need to undergo reverse rejection therapy. Ask some people at the next meetup to ask you for things/favors/anything, and your goal is to say ‘no’ to all of them. May be everyone can be a target and all of you can rotate.
Good idea! If you ask people to ask you to do things you should definitely not do, it may get you into the habit of saying ‘no’. Examples, cause it’s funny:
“Hey would you come over and cook dinner for my cat?”
“Would you give me 5 bucks?”
“Would you tie my shoe for me?”
“Go over there and kiss that stranger.”
“Give me a piggy back ride.”
You can ask people to make their requests more or less ridiculous so you feel like you want to say yes against your better judgment.
I suggested “Learning to say ‘No’” as an addition to Swimmer963′s goal list at one of our first meetups. This sounds like a good way to implement it (should she so desire, of course).

Ok. Next meetup (that I can make it to), let’s do it!
On the agenda!
N = 1 agrees. If this is something you’re serious about changing, this would be a cheap way to try it.
