So, on one hand, I don’t have any examples in mind of times when Chesterton’s fence was actually harmful. (I don’t know that I’ve ever seen it do anything other than slow someone down a little bit, or provoke some interesting conversations)
On the other hand, it’s kinda embarrassing to me that I hadn’t seen anyone point out “dude, you should actually evaluate whether Chesterton’s fence is useful in practice” until now. Thanks!
