I don’t really think this approach of listing a bunch of problems is a way to get a high level of certainty about this. In a certain sense, you should treat this like a math problem and insist on a formal proof that nanotech is impossible starting from the Schrodinger Equation. And of course, such a proof would have the very difficult task of ruling out nanotech without ruling out actual bacteria.
