If there’s a copy adequate to preserve most of your memories, habits, and beliefs, you could have a conversation with that mind. It would claim to be you, and to be having a continuation of your experience and your life.
Do you suppose you’d change your mind if you and many others had had conversations with copies that swore they were the same person as before uploading?
