I’ve always considered materialism to be intertwined with rationality.
Er, I always thought we were celebrating good cognitive algorithms here, not individual belief tokens.
It does tend to be a belief that follows from increased rationality, but snarky remarks about it (while amusing) aren’t particularly productive towards improving rationality.
