Obviously, I am not asking about specific negotiations, but about written and unwritten company rules. For example, can you dedicate Google company time to SingInst work? (I am thinking of the famous Google 20% rule here.)

The answer is refreshingly boring: I can do this stuff, but not on company time. 20% time is supposed to be used for Google projects.
