The proof of the pudding is in the eating—are the mortality numbers (or, better, life expectancy) “massively better” today than 30 years ago?
It seems that we gained roughly 6 years of life expectancy from 1950 to 1980 and we got the same six from 1980 to 2010. I used UK numbers.
