One thing I’d want going forward is a more public comment that, if he’s going to keep posting on LessWrong, he’s not going to do that (take down all his LW posts) again.
I think Duncan also posts all his articles on his own website, is this correct?
In that case, would it be okay to replace the article on LW with a link to Duncan’s website? So that the articles stay there, the comments stay here, the page with comments links the article, but the article does not link the page with comments.
I am not suggesting to do this. I am asking that if Duncan (or anyone else) hypothetically at some moment decided for whatever reason that he is uncomfortable with his articles being on LW, whether doing this (moving the articles elsewhere and replacing them with the links towards the new place) would be acceptable for you? Like, whether this could be a policy “if you decide to move away from LW, this is our preferred way to do it”.
