It would be interesting to have a place to collect information about the subgroups. Monthly newsletters from non-secret ones on their progress and lessons learned?
I’d happily write about my group creation leanings.
Cool. It feels a bit premature to create anything formal to collect this sort of information, but simply making blogposts chronicling your progress seems like a good start.
(Note: My plan is to discuss specific-community-planning stuff on my private blog, and to periodically refactor the content for the front page, i.e. discussing it in a way that is relevant to people outside the community in question, and I think this is probably be the best general format for now)
If the group still feels like a part of the (LW-related) rationalist community, they should be willing to write something about them on LW, once in a while. Maybe this should be encouraged by some kind of regular “Rationalist Subgroups Report Thread”, where each group would briefly describe themselves, and say what they did during the <whatever would be the interval of that Thread>.
Then this Thread would act as the place to collect information; and perhaps it could have a related wiki page.
