Surely that is a mistake. The Doomsday Argument may suggest that the days of humans like us may be numbered, but doesn’t say much more than that—in particular it can’t be used to argue against a long and rich future filled with angelic manifestations. So: it is poor evidence against a relatively near era of transcension.
