Ohio just had its first-ever LessWrong meet-up! It was such a success, with 13 amazing people showing, that we decided to make it a monthly shindig.

The Ohio LessWrong group will be holding a meet-up every third Sunday of the month, at the Max&Erma’s off I-71. This is less than an hour from Cincinnati, Columbus, and Dayton.

Cincinnati and Columbus will also be holding smaller meet-ups on a more frequent basis.

Meetup Update-

Our second monthly meetup was also successful. We had 12 people, of which 3 were first-timers.

So far, all the Ohio meetups I have been to (2 monthlys, and 1 local) have managed to maintain a 3:1 gender ratio (much better than the 12:1 ratio on this site). I am wondering if this is common in other meetups as well?
