There’s a spectrum, where Christianity and Buddhism are quite doctrine-y and Judaism and ancient-Roman-religion-ism are much less so. Doesn’t seem important, since we care about what claims are being made regardless of how we define ‘religion’ or define the boundaries of religious membership.
Ok. But the idea that a religion is a set of claims is itself a generalisation from Christianity.
