They give three reasons: your therapist may think The Rules are manipulative and dishonest and dissuade you; your therapist may not realize how clueless and pathetic you are when you fall for a guy, if you don’t have The Rules to protect you; you don’t want to start debating this topic with your therapist, you’ll lose your resolve to stick to The Rules.
