I’m familiar with an argument that humans will always have comparative advantage with AIs and so they’ll keep us around, though I don’t think it’s very good and I’m not sure I’ve seen it in writing.
To expand a bit on why I don’t think it’s very good, it requires a human perspective. Comparative advantage is always there because you don’t see the line where trading with the neighboring tribe becomes less profitable than eating them.
