the infection fatality rate is far, far lower [now]
Just registering that, based on my reading of people who study the IFR over time, this is a highly contentious claim especially in the US.
The numbers I have seen are suggesting that it’s lower but only by say 30%?
Right, to be clear that’s the sort of number I have in mind and wouldn’t call far far lower.
Also, my boyfriend is an ICU nurse on the covid ward in a Southern state. He says average ICU stays are half as long now but that the average ICU patient is younger, so take that for what it’s worth.
