Hi I’m onderdonk, well ten years of hegel had me thinking positive things about rationalism, but thirty years as a schizophrenic made me change my mind. I’m a scientist and a rationalist, in my little pinky, on my left hand. the rest of me is a grand irrationalist, and I marvel at how the world thinks that’s a bad thing, guess they don’t understand my flavor. So I try to explain, I wrote up a “Declaration of Freedom for Human Irrationality and Insanity”, after arguing the point in the schizophrenia forums for decades. Think I have a case here, though i also think you guys are the not the group who want to hear it. I’m guessing you self declared rationalists are kinda one sided about cultural things like that, the whole militart education industrial complex of yours ,you the WEIRD—western educated industrial rich democrats, you the worldly minded camarilla, if you count all the species across time, that science and reason stuff is pretty weird. I know I know, you think it gives you dignity, and you feel it gives you power over nature. well, i have been watching your species, and i have hopes and beliefs, I think one day you will set aside your “science” and your “reason”, put them in a toybox to look at wistfully once in a while when a relative stops by from outer space, but for the most part, sit down and shut up, and come out of that test tube of human knowledge that your species tends to stay in, common out, common up, it’s ok out here in the darkness of the universe, the world of shamanism and scnhizophrenia, of the two year olds and the spirits, the poet philosopher world, reason to be left at the doorway to the molten pool of madness that we dive into, we explorers of human unreason. Common up, join your brothers the trees, the animals, the shamans, the two year olds, the stars, the black holes in the dark sky, join us, as we pursue inner nature and destiny, and search for mystery and wonder.
