The “productivity tools” are often solving the wrong problem. They teach you how to better organize the paperwork for solving problems that you ultimately don’t care about. When the actual problem is that you lack motivation to do those steps, because on the emotional level you perceive the entire thing as meaningless.
(That doesn’t necessary mean that the thing is meaningless, could be e.g. that the meaning in far mode fails to translate to emotional motivation in near mode. Or maybe the thing is meaningless, and you should be doing something else instead. Or maybe the thing is meaningful, but there is something more important in your life that you currently ignore, and your brain is sending you signals that this is not the thing you should be focusing on.)
