It’s time for Meetups Everywhere! If you would go to 1 or 2 meetups a year, make this one of them!
Come on out to encounter ACX readers, and to find out what our Rational Ottawa weekly meetup group is like/is all about! Past years have seen attendance range from 1-2 dozen at these events, and I would expect that to continue. Please join us even if you’re not quite sure you fit the crowd, or feel awkward about doing meetups!
Location: Due to very likely rain and our original rain plans falling through, we are keeping the date and time of our Spring ACX Meetups Everywhere same as originally planned, but changing the location to down the street to the NAC (National Arts Centre). From the main entrance off Elgin, head straight in until you come to the large wooden stairs/bleachers to your left- we will be meeting up at the top of these stairs. Look for the ACX sign and the blue and gold balloons. This year we are meeting at 70 Gloucester St (The LOOP apartment building), and will get to enjoy the lovely view from the 28th floor rooftop patio! Buzzer is 2103 for entry to the building, and then come on up to the top floor. If rain happens to move us indoors on the 11th, we’ll be meeting one floor down from the patio, in the Sky Lounge of 70 Gloucester. We should be the only group meeting in either of these places but we will still have “ACX” signs, and I, Tess, will be identifiable as the one with the big orange scarf. Dinner will be provided in the evening (due to the venue change we’ll be going with the simplified route of ordering pizza), but feel free to bring (manageable/tidy) snacks to share earlier on!
