The other sense means “this seems like it *might be possible*, given that I haven’t even thought about it enough to check that it’s remotely meaningful or logically consistent, let alone likely or worth tracking, but I don’t immediately see a glaring inconsistency / I have some sense of what that would look like / can’t immediately rule that out”.
