How exactly are you measuring “quality” ? Is it an objective metric that we can apply to any blog or forum ? If so, why don’t you write a piece of code that will scrape any blog or forum, and output its quality score ? That would be a good place to start, IMO.
Firstly, I’m not convinced that this is the case (though I am open to being convinced). Secondly, what does “quality” mean if this is true ? Does it mean “a forum that lukeprog personally likes”, or is there more to it ?
I don’t see the relevance. The notion of “quality” as an independent substance, as it is presented in the book, bears little relevance to lukeprog’s post.
FWIW I did enjoy Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. The philosophy in the book is shoddy and full of holes, of course, but it’s not a book about philosophy—it’s a book about one man’s struggle with love and madness.

That problem is AI-complete.

See Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. Or, alternatively, skip it, because it’s horribly over-rated.

Then perhaps MIRI should find some smart people with good math skills to create the AI.
