Two points are a bit tricky, though. One is that the probabilities should have the same symmetry as the Schroedinger equation. Or in other words, you have to make use of the fact that “change of basis” is physical nonsense.
The other is caution :P There’s still gravity to sort out, so the Born probabilities are only known to be derivable from MW this way to the extent that the Schroedinger equation is a good approximation.
