I had the same problem for ages. I’ve just made a bookmarklet for a google search starting with ‘site:lesswrong.com′ when I enter ‘lw’ in the url bar.
Ok, googling most old comments seems to work fine now. It seems all of them are not indexed, and there’s significant delay in indexing new comments.
